Pros

Great team of international, young, hard working people.

Cons

Members of senior management are arrogant cowboys. They do not appreciate the talent they have. No focus on training or developing staff abilities. Huge emphasis on proving one's worth. No human decency.

Hi there, Sara here, HR Director since Nov 2019.Thanks for taking the time to share your experience, even if it seems you didn't have a great time. I know things have changed and we now have a focus on learning and people development across the organization, we can always get better. We currently focus on continuous improvement and this includes our people's experience. I am an optimist and so believe that we are not "beyond redemption". We will keep striving to become a great place to work, where people collaborate and in doing so achieve great leaps towards making great science open to all. - Sara

Pros

Full remote working and good colleagues. The salary is decent but in most countries (Spain, Protugal, Italy...) there are no benefits, bonus, pension or healthcare.

Cons

I would not recommend anyone to join, and even more, if you are working here, RUN. This company will collapse soon completely absorbed by the chinese market. UM are completely outside the reality and act as dictators. Although we dont have any benefits, that is not important at all because we have an amazing 'achieivers platform' where managers anb workers can ''thank you'' for your work. That was one the most ridiculous things Ive ever seen in my life.

Thank you for feedback. We have reviewed our benefits package over the past year and have competitive packages in most countries, and we are currently working towards this in all locations. Our 'Achievers' platform was allows colleagues to thank or recognize each other and has been well received. We would be happy to discuss your concerns further, so please do get in touch with your People Business Partner.

Frontiers: a case study for how not to run a business

Pros

Fully remote work and fairly nice laptops. There are one or two people in this business who are truly wonderful and don’t deserve the environment they are in.

Cons

Astoundingly poor upper management - also, far too many folks in upper management for a company this size. Ethically rotten - toeing the line of plain down illegal - people are just numbers here. No compensation reviews in over 2 years. Only the ‘favorites’ are rewarded or recognized. The comp and ben team is a sham - mismanaged benefits, zero consistency in compensation levelling and grading. Upper management cannot even get it right to communicate with each other nevermind being able to communicate with employees.
