OUR MISSION: Make Open Science the default dissemination channel for research across all disciplines by becoming the largest and most-cited publisher.
Description Frontiers is an award-winning Open Science platform and leading Open Access scholarly publisher. We empower scientists with innovative Open Science solutions that radically improve how science is published, evaluated and disseminated to researchers, innovators and the public.

Founded in 2007 by Henry Markram and Kamila Markram, two neuroscientists from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in Lausanne, Switzerland; Frontiers was launched with a very clear goal: harness the power of technology and create an open science platform that enables researchers with publishing solutions that are unbiased, fast, efficient and transparent.
At the forefront of the open science revolution, their vision to empower researchers in the scientific publishing process and make quality science freely available for the benefit of humanity, remains relevant today.

We are driving the transition to a world where access to all science is open. Researchers, policy makers and industry leaders can collaborate and innovate better and faster. Along with rigorous quality standards, we are revolutionizing how the latest research is reviewed and disseminated.

Being the 3rd most-cited research publisher, our research articles have been viewed more than 1.4 billion times, reflecting the power of research that is open for all.
