What's an average pay increase when being promoted internally? The change would be from analyst to implementation manager for if that helps. Hoping to get a 20% bump is that unheard of?

Has anyone left their career to be a SAHM and came back years later? If so, how did it go? How was it getting back into the workforce? I currently have a 1 month old and it only makes sense for me to be a SAHM. I plan to volunteer for the PMI during this time so I don’t lose my skills or pick up part time work (if it’s not too hectic). I just fear how companies will react with me having a 3-8 year gap year. Any advice or stories to share would be helpful ♥️

Any tips for transitioning from being an attorney to software engineer? I’ve worked as an attorney at a biglaw firm for 2.5 years now and have been considering switching to programming. I studied non-computer engineering in undergrad but am considering a coding boot camp.
