Pros

People care. About you, about the work they/you are doing, and about each other. I would 100% recommend anyone to work here. Even though we now have 3 offices, and sometimes it feels disconnected, the strong culture has really helped us feel closer together. The exec team really prioritizes culture, and alongside our business goals and growth, they really push for making sure the culture stays strong, people are happy and fulfilled, and employees are enabled to do the best job they can do while having fun (weekly sports, massages, happy hours, company-wide park clean-ups, to name a few...). The great thing about working here is that you can have a conversation with just about anyone (whether it's about the business or about how much east coast pizza is better than west coast pizza) - you're not too unimportant for anyone. Everyone's happy to have a chat with you, and the president/COO and CEO often make time to speak with each employee. What I've noticed in my 2.5 years here is that no one is ever ignored, and there really is an effort made to help people grow, even if that effort doesn't always actually get somewhere.

Cons

Some teams are better to work for than others, and some teams' cultures are stronger than others. Despite tougher days where communication starts to break down between departments about key things, I somehow still love coming into work everyday. While our culture is really strong, I think we could do better to be more straightforward (less "nice"). Most importantly, I don't think there's a clear growth path within UserTesting, and it's not super easy (anymore, at our current size/growth) to pursue different careers or take on different work. You just gotta work extra hard for it. Hopefully 2017 is the year where communication between departments, but more importantly *within* departments, is much improved. So much has been changing in the past couple of years, and will probably continue to (yay start ups!), but as of right now, today, I give UserTesting a 5/5 easily, because even though there are days where it's tougher, I have faith in the amazing people that work here, and the great work we're all a part of.

Pros

Very flexible, and responsive to my scheduling needs. An unusually caring group of people that is strong on empathy and communication over hierarchy.

Cons

Structure keeps changing, and culture rewards the outspoken over the shy.

Pros

A culture that encourages failing fast, learning from those mistakes, and getting better. A sense of adventure and boldness.

Cons

Expected growing pains that companies of this nature endure: cross functional communication, clearly defined and delineated career path and role descriptions.

Pros

I cannot recommend working for this company highly enough. They have been so supportive of me and I really enjoy the project I am working on and the autonomy and trust I am given by my team and peers. To list a few others: - The people are intelligent, caring and supportive - We have great communication and collaboration across all teams - our CEO regularly message on slack! - Our benefits are outstanding and we are rewarded for our hard work - Many career progression Opportunities - Fantastic values that resonate with all of us and are frequently used - When the world opens up again, we have a fantastic office in George Street, Edinburgh and we will be invited to visit our colleagues in America!

Cons

I am still in the honeymoon phase as such so there are very few cons for me atm! We are a global company, all collaborating remotely across many timezones and it can be difficult to manage at times. We have big goals for 2021 so I'm really interested to be part of this and see where the year takes us.

A Truly Incredible Company & Amazing Culture

Pros

- People here are awesome to each other - Great product that keeps getting better (best qualitative remote research platform on the market, period) - Perks! Not just meaningless perks, but the ones that actually improve our lives, both daily and longterm. Foods, events, clubs, outings, education stipends (highly encouraged to use them) - Best CEO I've ever worked for - a mentor, generous with his time, sincere in caring about employees. Lastly, something big here. Start-ups don't usually leave themselves open to keeping the same employees for years and letting them spread their wings by trying on new roles. Usually, you see that in bigger companies. If you look on LinkedIn, you'll see employees that have been here 3+ years will usually have multiple titles under their belts - this is a good sign. We employees have the opportunity to expand our abilities, promote or move into other teams or roles, and continue to grow as employees and as people.

Cons

- Being a SaaS product with a significant professional services component has made it tough to find the right way to give the right support to both self-service and full-service customers. - You will need to make an effort to get your voice heard. Communication is improving, but more timid folks can feel left in the dark or powerless, while meetings/initiatives can be overpowered by extroverts.

Pros

Great culture, leadership and opportunity. You are never the smartest person in the room which gives incredible opportunity to learn and develop. Continuous improvement is the company value and it definitely shows.

Cons

Very fast growing scale up so inevitable there is a lot of change, not always the best communication and teething issues when changes are made. This is just the price of being at one of the most exciting tech growth companies.
