Don't expect any support

Pros

Flexible work conditions, decent comm plan

Cons

Managers aren't helpful and only interested in numbers, not helping reps improve. Data is a mess, culture is really toxic and negative. Merger has been handled very poorly with very little communication leading to confusion. Very high turnover of staff. Targets are way too high, business hasn't invested to support reps achieve

Pros

Not of any I could think of.

Cons

The company has gone through multiple rounds of layoffs over the years, creating a constant sense of instability. Communication from HR and the executive team has been opaque, and there’s no clear strategy or real innovation taking place. Decisions often seem reactive rather than part of a long-term vision. The shares given during the merger had a "fair market value" of 0 dollars. And they just buy them from you when you leave or got laid off.

Pros

Overall, I have genuinely enjoyed my time here and have been lucky to work with some incredibly talented and supportive people. I would say that teamwork is one of the things that stands out most. People are always willing to jump in, share knowledge, and help each other out when needed. It never feels like everyone is just looking out for themselves. Another thing I really appreciate is how inclusive the environment is. People from all kinds of backgrounds, cultures, and experiences are welcomed and respected. There is a genuine effort to make people feel included, and I think that shows in the way teams work together and communicate. I also value the amount of trust employees are given. There is very little micromanagement, which allows people to take ownership of their work and be accountable for results. You're treated like a professional and given the space to do your job, which makes a huge difference when it comes to both motivation and job satisfaction. The work itself is meaningful, and it's rewarding to see the impact the product has on customers. I've learned a lot during my time here, not just from the work but from the people around me.

Cons

Like any company, there are areas that could be improved. During periods of change, clearer communication and more visibility into long term priorities would help employees better understand where things are headed and how their work contributes to the bigger picture. Also, I personally believe that continued focus on career growth and development opportunities would definitely go a long way.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and detailed review — and for being part of the UserTesting team for so many years. That kind of loyalty and dedication genuinely means a lot to us. 🙏 It's heartwarming to read how much you value the teamwork, inclusivity, and trust that define our culture. You've captured something we care deeply about, creating an environment where people feel respected, empowered, and supported by the people around them. Knowing that this comes through in your day-to-day experience is exactly what we strive for. Your feedback on communication during periods of change is something we take seriously. We know that clarity and transparency around long-term priorities make a real difference in how connected and motivated people feel, and we're committed to doing better in that area. Your voice, and the voices of teammates like you, are exactly what help us identify where to focus. The point on career growth and development is equally important to us. We have a lot of incredible talent here — as you clearly know from working alongside so many great people — and making sure everyone has a visible path forward is something we want to keep investing in. We hear you, and this will remain a focus for us going forward. Thank you again for the kind words, the honest reflections, and the valuable suggestions. It's people like you who make UserTesting a great place to work, and we're grateful to have you with us. 💙

Company values are nothing more than empty promises

Pros

The team I worked in was well oiled, with clear communication and handled role delegation and task management appropriately. I was thoroughly onboarded into the team, and was given a wide network of resources to get up to par with my product knowledge.

Cons

The way the company handled the merger/acquisition and subsuquent redundancies was akin to a horror movie. For a company that prided itself on 'being kind', keeping an entire body of nearly 1000 on edge for months with the looming possibility of being made redundant and doing absolutely nothing to promote moral was definitely not in line with the company values. The work culture shifted considerably from day 1 of the merger, with a lot of people across all levels of seniority being kept in the dark.

Pros

Huge market opportunity. Great people and solutions.

Cons

The merger of UT and UZ is taking time to gel as expected. More ongoing communication is essential. The sooner we can offer one awesome UX solution the better things will be from a GTM.
