Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. We’re sorry to hear that your experience has been frustrating and that things haven’t felt positive for you recently. We recognize that periods of change can be challenging, and over the past few years we’ve gone through significant transformation as a company. While these changes are intended to strengthen the business long term, we understand they can also create uncertainty and impact the day-to-day experience for our teams. We’re glad to hear that you’ve had the chance to work with great colleagues—building and supporting strong teams remains a priority for us. At the same time, we take feedback like yours seriously, especially around how change is experienced internally. Creating space for employees to do their best work, improving communication, and ensuring people feel supported are all areas we continue to focus on. We appreciate you sharing your feedback and encourage you to continue raising concerns through internal channels so we can better understand and address them. — The UserTesting Team

Pros

Advantages of working at UserTesting was the salary was fair and a lot of true leaning happened. People are nice in that very corporate professional way. There was also a lot of modern tools at your disposal, though learning them is on you.

Cons

Even though I had been informed that the company needed major care after the acquisition last year, there was still a misunderstanding or misinformation of what was needed for the role. Also many roles have more than 1 person working at the similar level/ tasks that you can get support with. My specific role did not as well as minimal guidance on each counties countries needs. The whole time I was there was it was just figuring out what had to be done, laws that were involved, who needed to be spoken to, and how to implement actions. When things started to smooth out that is when the redundancy happened. When being made redundant I got the courtesy of an under 5 minute call where the manager told me the business made the decision that the position was going to be made redundant. The PBP took over and read out a legally approved script, asked if I had questions without any time to think or process. As soon as the meeting was over my computer was shut down and made into turned into a very expensive paper weight. All in all very high work expectations with minimal position support and no off boarding support.

Pros

The people team at UserTesting is one of the best teams I ever worked with! Everyone is an expert in their own area, the leaders are caring and encouraging, and the company supports your professional development with learning stipends and resources.

Cons

Even though they’re making an effort, the executive team is not representing some minority groups. The C-Level and SLT could be a bit more diverse.
