Pros

The Brand, the standards, the American way of viewing things, the RL world, the discounts, the flexibility... It is really one of the best companies I have worked for or maybe the one I had more passion for.

Cons

Spain. There are no careers opportunities or they do not share them with you. Too afraid of losing control or letting anyone grow higher. I wanted and already had the experience for better or international positions and all I hear from the HR is "mañana, mañana" and a year went by.

Pros

The people make the company. Looking back over my career at this company, it was the people that I met along the way that were the best part of the experience.

Cons

I was laid off in June along with so many long timers who were loyal to the. Brand and in return, we were let go while poor management remained behind. The company thinks very high of itself and has often talked about what a privilege it was to work there. This was true many years ago, but the real truth is that they became complacent and lost their edge. Management has no foot in reality. Nobody can make a decision there on their own. Everyone has an opinion on everything and spends more time giving it then focusing on what they should be doing....their own job. Most frustrating of all is they never learn from their mistakes and make the same stupid choices Tina's after time. Sr. management thinks highly of itself....but shouldn't. RL turned his back on those that broke theirs helping to build the company. I now know what it means to be loyal...it means I am the stupid one in this situation. Compensation- they think they are competitive but they are not.. they will try to sell you on "the opportunity" to work for such a great company - don't buy it. Success is often based on being liked and not on performance. Salaries vary widely based on non performance matters. Whine to the right person and you can go far.. way too many egos for no reason.
