Pros

Work environment was great. Friendly individuals. Great view of the city Great work hours. Very accessible to the train. Surrounded by many food restaurants.

Cons

Unfair termination by Interviewer. She is the individual who interviewed me and terminated my employment with the company. She is a unreasonable individual.

Pros

They pay you You get benefits. Cafeteria on site. Heated in winter, air conditioning in summer. There are bathrooms. Free ice cream two days a year.

Cons

In the process of downsizing Directors and below to "cattle pen" workspace of small cubes. Political beyond belief. You work in one of America's most dangerous and lawless cities. Lots of managers supervising one or two people. Big layoffs every fall.

Pros

decent 401(k), medical, dental, and they sponsor agents to get their series 6, 63, and 65 securities licenses.

Cons

for agents its pretty much a scam. 100% commission starting day 1, with no legit way to build a book of business (their main focus seems to be having you call clients that have already had their agent(s) leave, so you can try to sell them something else). The products they want you to focus on won't pay you anything significant for the long term to keep you there. The only agents that stick around seem to be the ones that have been there already for 20+ years or ones that inherited a book of business in their first few years. Also, Prudential will bill you to work in your own cubicle on a monthly basis, and then charge you an additional $80+ a month to use their virtual desktop interface after you have been there for more than 2 years. You provide the laptop and technology to access this virtual desktop interface, not them. Lastly, agents aren't eligible for the employee stock option program, despite being the very backbone of the company.
