Worst company to work for. Completely unethical

Pros

Excellent pay but that’s the consideration for selling your soul to the devil, working long hours to cover things up before an internal audit or visit by a regulator and having to lie for other people.

Cons

Management is completely unethical. The culture is toxic. The company is run like the mafia. Don’t believe me? Work there for a few months and you’ll understand why. Also you get promoted to take the fall for someone or they promote you to a position outside of your area in order to protect you in case things blow up. Oh and the company pays for good ratings so don’t believe those ratings that this is an ethical company or values diversity. Management gets bonuses for having diversity in their dept. they have no altruistic bone in them.

Old world thinking, struggles with modernization

Pros

Newark location is convenient if you live in Northern NJ with convenient parking on premises, or for NYC residents because of Penn Station nearby with free shuttles from there to any of the Pru buildings. Pension plan.

Cons

Stuck in the 80's. They had only recently switched from Lotus Notes to Outlook in the months before I started working there...in 2017! Reluctance to engage with employees for new ideas, or change workplace culture. Bullying by managers all the way to the executive level is rampant. Nothing is done, the problem is solved when the culprit leaves the company or moves to another division. The pay is not on par with other financial companies. No WFH policy across the board pre-pandemic, perhaps that's now changed? Managers through to the Executive level worked from home regularly, but would tell some employees it was not allowed while allowing others to do so.

Pros

Work from Home & set your own schedule

Cons

They start you out good with leads then after about two months and some new trainees you get garbage and longer wait times on the platform and calls from people who are highly upset with being called several times already, the lead system is terrible.
