Pros

Salary, excellent training & good team

Cons

Everything else, training would work if it was designed for those wanting to find employment but does not work for those that don't ,and not for those unable to work, this company is all about making money for shareholder and is only driven by this staffing levels and turn over very high, approx 200% over 4 years ,l am told as of Q2 more than 50% of staff are on performance warnings with little chance of getting off them due to lack of management under standing , customer base over 65% ESA clients not fit for work , but advisors are targeted in getting most of them into sustainable longer term employment.

Pros

Other members of staff keep you going and you do get rare opportunities to help people into a job they enjoy.

Cons

I started this job to help people - but this has almost been an impossible task. We are over worked and under appreciated on a daily basis which makes it very difficult to enact any substantial change to people’s lives. Management are the main reason I am looking at other jobs at the moment. We are patronised and subjected to passive aggressive behaviour daily. The pay is poor compared to other providers in the same industry and there are no progression opportunities - particularly if you are not one of the office favourites. Any real opportunities are not opened to the floor but are given through the back door to favoured staff. Staff who are good at their job are expected to take on extra work to help management for no extra pay or appreciation. High staff turn over is affecting morale but is not being adequately addressed by management. Feedback falls on deaf ears every time. Amazing staff members are dismissed due to not hitting targets or are forced to quit as their mental health deteriorates due to stress. 1-1s are not done. HR does not exist. Annual leave is rarely granted due to staffing issues. Sickness is at an all time high due to management being unwilling to address the heightened stress levels. We are asked to do at least 20 x 30 minute meetings in a 7.5 hour working day. 30 mins for lunch and god forbid you want a coffee at another point during the day. Shocking place I would not recommend anyone to apply here.

Pros

People are generally all lovely, approachable, happy to lend a hand when you need.

Cons

Management for the most part are awful people- they are only happy when you're working 60 hours a week. Most senior managers have only ever worked at ingeus so the company is insular, reluctant to change, never innovative and stunted as even senior managers have only really ever been employment advisors, which means they lack simple management skills. The company is going to the wall and everyone feels really insecure - people openly talk about how Ingeus will be sold by its VC owner if we're not profitable enough and about how we are all out of a job if we don't win the next iteration of the work program. It feels like a sinking ship.
