Pros

There are definitely no pros.

Cons

- Frontiers is using massive email campaigns to recruit potential authors and is criticized for spamming. - Interns are recruited for a six month period and expected to write 200 emails a day, canvassing academics to submit papers to this for-profit open access publisher. - Frontiers intimidate their interns. After their internship ends, they are expected not to work or be otherwise involved in science publishing for at least one year. - The employees are instructed how to reply to annoyed academics and how to counter criticism of Frontiers peculiar peer review model. - They are also instructed to lie about the article rejection rate, which is not 20% as officially claimed, but 10%.

Thanks for your review. We're glad you enjoyed working remotely, something we continue to offer to our employees in a flexible, hybrid model. Quality is the cornerstone of our work and our articles are rated very highly for quality by researchers. We're a tech-first company and our focus on cutting edge technology and AI is what enables us to achieve quality at scale as our journals grow.
