Pros

Wonderful immediate colleagues & remote work - that's about it.

Cons

* No pay raises for 2+ years * No exciting internal mobility opportunities * No empathy towards employees * Internal politics * No transparency * No more transfers to different EU countries (even with valid reasons) - you can move from a country that pays higher salaries to a country that pays lower salaries but NOT vice versa. It is definitely not a place to stick to if you join the company with dreams and hope (like I once did).

Thank you for your review. Our people are at the heart of everything we do and we work hard to prioritize transparent and frequent internal communication. Our leaders use a lot of different communication channels: weekly MS Teams posts, monthly CEO updates, an internal newsletter, OKR reviews, quarterly department reviews, open doors sessions, and our quarterly company-wide meeting. Individual managers also communicate through weekly team meetings, monthly department meetings, and 1:1s and everything is documented and open to read. This year we also introduced progression pathways to provide every individual with even clearer growth opportunities and a roadmap for their career advancement.

Pros

I've started working at Frontiers about a year ago. I loved my role and I was very happy until things started changing towards the end of the year. People are extremely nice and the environment was very friendly. I loved working with everyone.

Cons

With the mass layoffs everything changed. Stress level increased, and well people got laid off and the communication hasn't been the best during this difficult phase.

Thank you for sharing your experience at Frontiers. We understand that redundancies are incredibly difficult and the different legal requirements for communication in each country location has added complication. We're doing everything we can to be as clear and communicative during this process. Please get in touch with your People Business Partner if you'd like to discuss anything further.

Pros

Frontiers' mission is what best motivates and drives commitment along with some great collaborative people across the company.

Cons

Every end of the year there is a reorganization and at the same time performance reviews are requested hence you always end up with a different manager than the one you took career agreements with and all is forgotten. Enormous layoffs happening with no transparency on criteria; management didn't foresee the downturn despite multiple signals and continued to hire massively.

Thank you for your review. The redundancy consultation process has been complex, with different legal requirements for the communication of criteria in each country location. We have been transparent throughout, and have organized several country-specific Q&A sessions. Please do contact your People Business Partner to discuss how we can help with your concerns about the reorganization process and line management.
