Pros

Good work environment on a day-to-day basis.

Cons

1 - Extra hours unpaid or compensated. It is usual practice to work overtime without being paid for it nor compensated in any way. In my case I used to work an average of two hours weekly. 2- Very low starting salary (even counting the bonus). 3- Type of contract offered: Administrative Assistant Training Contract. However, the professional category and the functions you do on a daily basis does not correspond with the type of contract. 4 - You might be exposed to a dismissal if you raise a complaint demanding the fulfilment of your rights such as the extra hours unpaid or compensated. 5 - Fast paced and demanding work environment with very limited time for breaks (these are usually below the contemplated in the law).

Thank you for your review. Firstly, we are sorry that you did not have a positive experience with us. We appreciate that working with us is not like working in a traditional financial services company as we are a fast-moving and fast-growing corporation. However, the roles that we offer in our Malaga office provide employees with excellent career opportunities in a flexible and dynamic environment, with a talented and diverse team. We are committed to both rewarding hard work and maintaining a healthy office environment. We do this through a competitive salary structure with regular pay reviews based on performance and duties in the role. We also allow staff the flexibility of managing their own breaks, which we encourage them to take when it’s appropriate to them. Thank you again for your comments.

Pros

The sole reason most people endure employment at Ebury is because of the characters on the salesfloor which contributes to a great 'social' working environment. You can get paid for sitting on hold for 120 minutes a day for about 6 months and might even win some Amazon vouchers for doing so a long the way - this fantastic process was developed and titled 'gamification' by an intelligent Scottish man.

Cons

A career here is virtually non existent, those at business development level slave away feeding the proverbial sales machine with self sourced leads in an attempt to fulfill an unrealistic promotion target of billing 55k with minimal assistance or training from superiors. Sales success at this stage isn't financially remunerated, but industry competitors offer higher base salaries and commissions from day one. Those who bill 55k and get promoted to 'senior sales' (around five individuals in the last 12 months) benefit from a skinny commission structure of 5% on deals and life cycle of the client is 24 months after this it falls out of your book and is inhereted by Ebury! - Non existent HR - No benefits pension etc. - Dealers only interested in big ticket clients. - Expect to carry out compliance process yourself on clients once you've closed business. - Clicky environment, top earners have control and closed the door for those below a long time ago. - Employees on different base salaries but in the same role.
