Pros

- good guys on the teams - it’s a job

Cons

- HR lie about current vacancies especially Annie Stacey and Katherina Santiago. This is why HR are constantly changing. - many get paid late and have to chase up payroll - offer projects to newcomers and leave experienced guys on current projects to rot and then when questioned HR lie about allocating positions to said employee’s. - if the face doesn’t fit you won’t get anywhere, they don’t like to be challenged on anything and if you do then your not going to go far, even if what your challenging goes against Control risks, values, standards and governance. - they forget the guys speak to eachother from different projects and locations within Iraq and Control risks as a whole. This is why the turnaround is so quick for positions due to good guys leaving as they can’t deal with poor values and standards of the chain of command. This is especially pertinent for BGC.

Pros

Senior management did not put up barriers, anyone could talk to anyone without to much hassle so long as you were respectful A great team of professionals to learn from all motivated to deliver a great service to clients internally and externally. Great location in the centre of London and near the Tube A friendly atmosphere with constant banter.

Cons

Training was not really for growth and more to comply with regulatory obligations, always felt this was a missed opportunity. Projects could often be confusing as the delivery framework was constantly changing. Unrealistic deadlines for projects with a lack of understanding of existing pressures across teams.

Pros

People are lovely and it is a good company to start a career. Teams tend to be flexible with work-life balance

Cons

What is expected of you can be a lot. Some senior people are not that competent and drag down teams. Not much career progression after a few years and pay could be better given what is expected of employees. The company has been encountering some financial problems, which unfortunately feeds into all the problems mentioned above.
