Partnership change has damaged company character

Pros

Good people everywhere, hugely diverse skill sets. Great London location, same in most other offices.

Cons

Change to a partnership model has ruined what used to be the defining characteristics of the company - it was 'employee owned', now it's owned by a handful of employees and it's very much us and them. It's just another corporate consultancy now - it was always a home for those who were a bit different from that, and now it just wants robots who can repeat buzzwords.

Poor managers no focus on employees.

Pros

Ability to travel. I would say the pay but even thats pretty poor.

Cons

Very poor medical insurance/coverage for consultants overseas, management - they really do not look after consultants or employees, you complete very arduous work and keep their clients extremely happy but are never repaid for the time and work put in. You sit around and wait on new contracts but management will never take the time to let you know if they've been signed off and would be happy for you to turn other work down and sit by earning nothing.

Pros

- Good brand - Some interesting work - Wfh opportunities

Cons

- Flip flops between no guidence at all and opressive micro-management, there's no healthy midde ground. - People who are chummy with their higher management are the ones who get promoted. Sch roles are often given to people with no managerial skills. - A wave of redundencies can happen at any moment.
