Let’s start at the top…the CEO micromanages every decision down to domestic travel and is the most disingenuous and disconnected person I’ve ever met. They are a narcissist in every sense of the word…there is no I in TEAM, but there is a ME. They have imposed a full time return to office mandate for the US company while the European companies will remain hybrid. Attrition is a massive problem on the offshore wind team and senior leadership does not care enough to do anything about it. They’ve sent HR to hold meetings with staff to ask what’s wrong, but fail to take action. Most of the departures at the senior management level (VPs, & Directors) are due to the CEO, and the lack of empowerment. The departures from mid level are due to their bosses leaving and the uncertainty on the stability of the offshore wind business and the company’s limited appetite for growth. More locally in the offshore wind team, there is no clear leader motivating people or outlining strategic objectives. Morale is at an all time low and the culture in the offshore wind team is awful.
