      Excellent benefits Tons of opportunity for growth

      Cons

      Toxic culture Racist (masked by business resource groups) Misogynistic (masked by goals to have women in leadership positions). Female leaders have no power. Tyrant CEO does not allow his leadership team to make decisions - particularly his women leaders. He is awful and the company can do better.

      A Company That Breeds Bullies

      Pros

      Avangrid has an amazing retirement package. In the right position, you will learn a wide range of skills. If you play your cars right, you will be able to grow with the company.

      Cons

      Avangrid has a bullying culture. The bigger the bully, the bigger the salary. Management will band together to terminate those who do not deserve it - this is usually due to jealousy or showing potential that may threaten someone elses job. I was constantly overworked and undervalued. They verbally abuse and berate their employees. You have to constantly watch your back. PIPS are only selectively given to people, but others are just fired. It is a revolving door in human resources, as they either fire people or people just quit.

      Pros

      The staff in the Portland office are great to work with; the business (renewable energy) is very interesting and there are lots of opportunities for talented people to progress their career.

      Cons

      Extremely authoritarian head office based in Spain that interferes a lot in the US business and can make life very difficult. The talent pool is also declining as many of the best staff have left.
