Overall a great experience. I applied one evening, and the next morning Aasimah from Instant Impact gave me a call to discuss the role, and to schedule in a Skype session as a kind of preliminary interview before being put through to Octopus. This was just to make sure I understood what I had applied for and was suitable for it. Aasimah is fantastic! She then progressed me to the first-round interview with Octopus, which was with two Team Leaders. The day before this Aasmiah scheduled in a prep call to run me through everything, including how the Google Hangouts would be function, and generally just reassured me. The first-round interview was casual, and involved a structured chat with the two Team Leaders (who were very nice!) where they would ask a few questions in certain sections like education, work experience, me as a person, and why I wanted to work for Octopus and the job in particular. My advice here: research the company! Aasimah called me two days later telling me I'd been progressed to the final round. Again, the day before this we had a prep call where she ran through feedback from the first round (because Octopus give you feedback regardless, which is great!) and explained what this round was all about. Final round was with an Operations Manager, and again, she was lovely. This interview was more personal, and addressed things like who am I as a person, what are my aspirations/aims, how does Octopus fit in with those, what drives me, and other less concrete things. As long as you are self-aware and actually have those more underlying and considered drives/aims you will be fine - you need to know yourself! Following this, it did take 2 weeks for them to get back to me and offer me the job, but given the COVID-19 circumstances that is understandable. Overall, again, a great interview experience. I must say again how great Aasimah was throughout; she is a credit to Instant Impact!
