Smooth as clockwork, Extremely polite bunch of people, Initial response from my Linkedin application was from a lady called Ellie Leek. She was so professional, polite and it was crystal clear she was passionate about representing Octopus Energy. A great start to the process and it made me even more determined to succeed and become a small part of a great team.
On to the trade test/intereview.
This was very much along the exact same lines as my experience with Ellie. All the onboarding team showed the same passion, enthusiasm and pride in working at Octopus. I was interviewed face to face by 2 young ladies who showed a remarkable understanding of what being a Smart Meter Engineer was all about. I'm gutted that I can't remember their names, but again, what a great example for anyone wanting to work at Octopus. Throughout the interview I was made to feel very much at ease and it was most enjoyable. Many thanks to the 2 young ladies.
Job Offer and process.
I apologise for sounding like a stuck record but during this process I was yet again blown away by the welcoming feel I received from a lady called Ava Wakefield. She dealt with the final stages of my successful application. This was quite involved with a lot of checks and balances to navigate. Communication was excellent, Ava was the ultimate professional, very competent, polite and yet again a great advert for Octopus Energy. Greg Jackson should be very proud of his entire onboarding team. I can't wait to get started and I feel privileged to be a small piece on the Octopus Jigsaw canvas.
