Think twice

Pros

The coworkers can be nice as well as you will really love your next job, as the bar is placed very low.

Cons

I would strongly advise that you think twice before joining. I have seen it badly but this took the trophy. There were promises about no one getting fired because of Covid, but this turned out to be not completely true. For 4 months you kept seeing your coworkers/lunchmates and bosses 'disappear' as people were walked out on a weekly basis (in total something around 1/5 of the company). The communication and how this was handled left people in fear and in anxiety as there seemed to be no rational way in picking who was let go off. One way of figuring out who had to 'part ways' in a 'quick and sudden manner' was losing important documents or restricted access because the licences were kept on private accounts that now were deactivated. Exposing no governance framework at all to maintain and prevent this. I would call this the basics, but you will learn here that you can't expect too much. Baby steps. When it comes to managers and senior level, it becomes quite apparent after a while that you don't need qualifications or experience to qualify for those positions. All you need is a pulse and 'yes man' attitude. People promoted without the skill set to command the topic they were now made responsible for, leading to huge errors occurring constantly. In addition to a poorly designed legacy system that is more than a token of the organisation's shortcomings. And let's say industry standard or even any quality standard at all is completely missing, due to lack of previous experience in a similar position elsewhere. Basically, a culture of people reinventing the wheel but from the outside looking in 'thats a square, and the vagon is not driving anywhere on that' - just god help you if you say that out loud. Hence the advice, save yourself the trouble and just let them keep pushing. Favoritism, sexism, manipulation and bullying are not absent from the work environment if that wasn't clear from above paragraphs. Very prominent in the C level section as well as the absences of any leadership or strategic vision. If not also made clear that the management part is not very keen on criticism or improvement ideas. It should be added that the only company value is 'Money', 'Revenue and Profit' and 'IPO', not 'making you feel safe'...pff we say actions speak louder than words, so trust the actions. If you were not one of the ones made to leave, you know your profession, well, you might take the option of employing your skills elsewhere, as resignations over the last 7 months are asstounding. People are not assets here but replaceable, and the company completely ignores that a 'brain drain' is maybe a business risk because your competing with a lot of Fintechs for talent My advice, I would really think twice before joining as you will most likely not be learning what is best practices from the industry, you most likely won't see your carrier advance if you don't involve yourself into the politics, and you most likely won't be inspired be the 'revolutionary technology' they have going on there. On the other hand, you will see a textbook example of how not to do things. Make your decision, but be pretty clear of the end goal here with this in mind. Ps. Be aware of severe burn out, mental health deterioration, and extreme stress if you are smart enough to understand the situation. - wouldn't think that's worth the salary but that's my opinion

Cabal like. Management have spy among employees to report others to management and penned down for sack. Very incompetent senior management where favoritism is the order of the day. Overrated company and a fraud
