      Worst company to join remotely

      There are lots of projects, decent tech stack.

      Cons

      - I recently joined eDreams from out of EU. As visa process takes longer time, so I joined the company through third party agent named Omnipresent. That means, I remotely working in the company until get Visa and company pay me through Omnipresent. - Everything works fine, I worked for 3 months. I delivered my task as expected. Suddenly after 3 months, without any pre-notice they terminate the contact. - When I signed offer letter, I had another job with relocation option. But now, I have nothing. - They hired lots of developer, many of them don't have any team yet. And they firing me easily as I remotely joined and signed through third party company. - For the Visa purpose, I put lots of effort. Even my work permit is done. - It's really a shameless activity. They did it without think a bit.

      Nice colleagues and office, free coffee, good internal training opportunities, decent salary

      Cons

      Ruthless management keeps employees in the dark, trigger happy and ready to fire without warning. Self-aggrandising CEO who regularly belittles employees publicly. Mismatch between agile pods in technology and hapless business teams creating budget projections out of thin air. Ancient tech infrastructure, and architects basing their decisions on what they've done for years, not what would be good for the company. Most blatant exploitation of customers I have ever encountered in any company.

      General: · No career opportunities · No extra benefits · Culture of laziness · Too much bureaucracy IT department: · No choice of equipment (old windows-only pc desktops) · Obsolete stack · No open-source contribution · Participation in conferences and hackatons is not encouraged
