Pros

Benefits . Co Workers are very nice

Cons

A very misogynistic place . The men can get drunk at their desk and nothing happens. Poor management . Don’t work in customer support. Poor communication. If you have a strong spirit you won’t last here . It’s like a men’s club.

Your review is very concerning to me. The environment you described is not something we tolerate at TransUnion, and I want to thank you for bringing it to my attention. TU is a place where people should feel good about going to work every day and be treated with respect. Please know this will not go unheard and it will be addressed. But if you'd be open to sharing more about your experience, please reach out to me directly at anne.leyden@transunion.com. - Anne Leyden, EVP HR

Pros

Coworkers are mostly smart, good benefits, 7.5 hour workday, corporate stability

Cons

Tech management is deeply unprofessional from the top down. Some due to being poorly trained first timers, others due to being long timers surrounded by yes men. VPs and directors will unprofessionally badmouth their peers and mid management to low level employees who they are friendly with. Racist comments and actions are ignored by HR. Healthy work life balance is actually discouraged. Certain members of upper management have openly said they like it when people get divorced so they work more, and they don't want female employees to have kids. They use offensive nicknames for many of the employees and openly joke about them performing oral sex on a specific member upper management. Neither local nor Chicago HR are helpful and anything you discuss with them will be used by your manager against you. If you're interviewing for tech here ask how many tech employees have left in Q1 2017.

Pros

good business model, good growth prospects for profitability. Invest and buy stock, but working there, think again.

Cons

If not in big circle and big title, all those pros above, do not translate to the employee.
