Pros

Bonus & Perks: Gotta give credit where it's due. They offer good bonuses, and the office is tricked out with awesome amenities. Plus, they really go all out with the swag! Can't forget the amazing food program!

Cons

Understaffing & Bait-and-Switch: This is a huge problem. They're constantly understaffed, and when people leave, they just dump their work on everyone else. My title literally went from Assistant Manager to Manager without a word about it! No raise, no new contract, just a new title and a whole lot more responsibility. Work-Life Balance? Nonexistent: Forget evenings and weekends off, and lunch breaks are a thing of the past. Zero Transparency & Support: There's no communication here. You never really know what's going on, and forget about getting help or feeling appreciated. Management Woes: Let's just say the management style is more "work yourself to the bone" with zero recognition. Not exactly inspiring. Crushing Deadlines: Hold on to your hats, because new projects and tasks land on your desk with deadlines that would make Houdini sweat. Everything is apparently needed yesterday.

Pros

Nothing, better to work elsewhere.

Cons

The job is basically nothing else than another round of content moderation. Beware, this is not a real QA job!!!! No annual salary increases. Worsening employee benefits. No career development opportunities. Toxic work environment and lousy management. Unstable jobs and constant threats of dismissal, if you can't achieve nearly impossible targets. Unprofessional co-workers and culture of blame. Bad company with increasing controversies. Poor organisation and poor information systems.

Pros

-Looks good on your resume -Some employees have had great luck being promoted into big roles with minimal qualifications (albeit, minimal pay as well)

Cons

-Gaslighting is a key management strategy, starting at the very top, including while under oath to congress -All meaningful decisions are made in China -Top performance earns small annual raise (ie 3%) and employees are told to feel lucky for receiving -Role promotions typically don't come with raises -Leadership is generally inexperienced and unqualified -HR and management suppress serious allegations -Employee stock program is shrouded in mysterious terms that give TikTok the ability to forfeit your shares at their discretion, value the shares at their discretion, and prohibit you from divesting under any circumstances other than TikTok offering to buy them back at a price they determine
