Pros

Base Pay, Benefits Free food - but food poisoning was rampant

Cons

Highly influenced by the Chinese way of working- expected to work 12-13 hours a day. Absolutely unethical practices- creating employment contracts with loopholes to let people go without paying severance. Pregnant women were targeted and somehow made to leave. Changing goals, management would change major decisions multiple times with no concern for people and their lives. Dishonest performance management system. As HRBP, I have seen atleast 37 employees sit and cry in front of my citing various concerns - ranging from harassment, bullying, burn out due to work, being shouted at, poor mental health etc

Pros

- Outside of the department, the vibes are good. - Alot of snacks and drinks - Alot of fun company events - Alot of swag - Pay and benefit were decent

Cons

- Setting unrealistic expectations. example: (forgot the names of the scoring) (x) - (y) M (made expect) M+ (just barely above expect) E (exceptional) and (Z) U saved the company Everyone essentially always gets a M, department is ONLY allowed to hand out a handful of M+, as its statistically not "possible" that everyone is at M+. E (exceptional), u have to save the company MILLIONS or something ridiculous Z - u basically saved the company from bankruptcy or something - Yearly performance reviews are long and exhausting. Not only u have to spend roughly 1 day to write your own reviews, u have to also review others. - Very toxic collogues, where they will step on peoples toes to stand out. Because bonus and raises are dependent on stats and reviews, it basically encourages throwing others under the bus. Management will not fix this issue, as they think this helps with "improvement" but its basically encouraging "competition". If you speak out, they will target you. Very hard to be promoted, as there is not much levels.

Pros

Benefits: Pension schemme, health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, gym, food at office.

Cons

When I joined the company, it was a good place to work, good salary, great benefits, a working from home option. Passing the time, things started change. They did EVERYTHING they could to force people to quit, totally disrespectul. Now they are doing a massive layoff around the world, but if you open linkedin, they are hiring new people for the same positions while offering less money, benefits and no remote or hybrid work options anymore. Also, they performance review was a joke, forcing team leaders to deliver bad grades to people to avoid paying good bonuses, and forcing people to achieve the highest percentage of quality ever, with unreal targets. When i started my journey with Tiktok, I was happy, but when i left the company, I got reliefed.
