I received an email to work hurricane Harvey in Las Vegas after fingerprints and background check. I was hired so I quit the job I was at to help. Five days later myself and about 100 others were let go because of background from FEMA. Then the pay card they gave me was not assigned to me meaning no money. They gave me another that further delayed getting paid by another 24 hours. I quit a good job to work at Telia and can't go back now. Really bad form on their part and extremely bad for me.

- Pay is below average to average at best (this is even specifically stated on the internal HR site) - Opportunities to move up are few and far between - A lot of work is constantly being moved offshore and many departments are being minimized - Company-wide wage freeze for the next few years means bye-bye to salary increases - As noted above, many of the perks Telus used to give have all but vanished, and every year something else is taken away. I've seen this now year after year for almost 15 years.
