Pros

Vacation time, Benefits, 401k package, flex time are all attractive and contribute to the loyalty of their employees. Global business, multicultural colleagues, and industry leader.

Cons

Negotiate your base salary, then don't expect much growth. Bonuses are inconsistent and not based on merit- everyone is treated equally to a fault. HR is not confidential. Effort and loyalty don't amount to much here. Those who don't work hard are not encouraged to apply themselves, in fact, they can do very little to maintain their job and it is rare that any one is fired. Redundancy leads to layoffs, but no one ever gets fired. What is the incentive to work hard?

Pros

Work life balance is great and management are really supportive.

Cons

The company seems quite dysfunctional in lots of ways and this can be frustrating. Many processes and systems are tedious and certainly not customer-focussed.

Thank you for sharing. We are proud of our highly talented people and our culture which offers flexibility and growth. Our excellent work life balance and hybrid working is popular. We are an ambitious, dynamic and progressive organisation that is home to some of the best-known names in research, educational and professional publishing. We continue to look to align and simplify processes and look to break down legacy silos. Suggest talking to HR and/or your manager would be a good step so we can address and support accordingly.
