Pros

Good company culture, Beer Fridays, good PTO and health benefits.

Cons

The company is headquartered in Sydney, Australia and the US office has no input in the product. The US office just sells, implements and supports the product. The company is out of touch and has no interest in giving US customers what the want resulting in customers discontinuing the product after a few weeks. Lots of turnover in the company, This week alone four people resigned. Micromanaged beyond belief. If you work here get ready for managers to listen to your calls (training and sales.) Management is mostly clueless in what they are doing. The product is sub par to competition and generally more expensive resulting in 30%+ of sales dropping off. Tough market to sell in. SiteMinder will also try to sell you on growth but there is no where to go within the company. Managers are in place and not going anywhere and the company is not selling well enough to warrant any growth. Overall SiteMinder would be a good place for someone fresh out of college to get some Saas Experience but I would not recommend.

Pros

Promising company with great onboarding. Helpful teammates.

Cons

Saturated market and hard to hit quotas especially with extremely unhelpful and unprofessional management for the PH team. Worked the night shift and management was absolutely horrible. - Initiated to do a lot of unfair tactics when it came to CRMs and quotas, trashed other employees without providing any help or training, made me lie saying I constantly got “coaching” when I didn’t, manager didn’t really know how to coach cause they’ve never done It and know nothing about the product, seen them purposely sabotage new employees and weren’t afraid to hide that, actively started gossip, manager would go home very early (our shift ended at 7 and they’d be home by 2/3 but wouldn’t allow me to WFH even when there was no one else in the office since I was alone in the team). They didn’t have a concrete plan for the job and kept making different new tasks that weren’t feasible. Also, harassment cases within the company were brushed aside and the same men seemed to be favored. Felt very uncomfortable as the only woman working the night shift.

Pros

- multiple tech stacks - work & life balance

Cons

- poor leaderships, i.e. both engineering and people management; - my way or freeway engineering culture; - autonomy is the luxury within the hands of very few people; - copy & paste is the rule of thumb.

Thank you for your feedback and giving us the opportunity to respond. Over the last 3 years we have significantly grown the leadership in our organisation in order to focus more in planning, people growth and performance. This has resulted in major improvements in engagement, career management and feedback which tells us we must be doing something right. We most certainly do not have a "my way or freeway engineering culture". In fact we strongly encourage our staff to bring new ideas for open discussion. That said, as a company that has grown from being a start up to being a mature scaled up enterprise (and still has not lost any of the goodness from our startup culture) we do need to standardise on approaches and ways of doing things so that we are not constantly "reinventing the wheel" and making it easier for our engineers to move between technology domains. Over the past 2-3 years we have seen a lot of internal promotions into senior roles in the organisation and our career pathways offers enormous opportunities for our tech staff to have long, diverse and exciting careers in the company.
