Pros

- Large scope (which can also mean you're paid less and asked to do more) - If you really like to work there's a lot of work for you - Maybe you'll get a chance to IPO

Cons

1. Overvalued company 2. WLB is terrible 3. Company do PIP regularly and fires fast (same day or 2 wks, there's no 3-month PIP plan) 4. Because of 2 and 3, the company culture is really toxic, everyone works really hard to keep their jobs and point fingers at others 5. Paternity leave is 2 weeks, and most ppl work through it 6. Some teams can not keep female employees for long, just an observation

Pros

Salary is above market in CA

Cons

Rippling does a good job of keeping their public rating above 3 by spamming 5 star propaganda about how “it’s not for everyone, we work hard play hard”. I believed it when interviewing, and it’s why I joined. But if you are considering Rippling and reading this, I sincerely urge you to consider what that really means between the lines. My mental health is really suffering. I’m anxious all the time and wake in the night. There is no accountability or clear expectations set but no amount of work effort or hours in is ever enough. Accountability for decisions is non-existent, made especially so with the latest C Suite departures (I would guess because of how taxing mentally it must be). There is a pervasive culture of fear driven by blame and throwing other teams under the bus. The only feedback that matters is what comes from Parker and so weeks or months of work may be wiped in an instant based on off the cuff feedback. Anyone along the way who helped get to the unfavored direction is immediately blamed and expected to fix with near instant turnaround. The US/India daytime overlap, which is really product/eng team overlap is upside down. Which results in 2am meetings for India, or 10pm meetings for USA. This promotes further division and almost completely eliminates any sense of team building or dialogue. Managers are expected to be ICs. Often stepping in as Product Managers as well which creates tremendous conflicts with real IC ownership. Not to mention completely unsustainable to do two jobs. It’s a burnout factory. Unapologetically so. With the worst benefits of any company I’ve ever been at and it’s an HR company! Please consider what you’re getting into. I regret it so much. Thankful for a job, so sad it has to be here.

Disappointed

Pros

When I first started I was so excited to be apart of a start up company. The employees on my team are so darn nice, and always helpful. I’m greatful to have met like minded individuals

Cons

I took time to decide if I should do this or not. But I’m ready. I was thriving at Rippling. Being a team player, staying late when needed, and even sticking around when unwell because Ik they needed us. FF I had a moment where I needed improvement. It was a few moments where I took to long to respond to a client via chat. FW two weeks later I was let go, and HR acted as if I should’ve known why, and I honestly didn’t. They stated that I was coached/trained on my issues which I was not. I was just told don’t do it again, and a few days before my termination I was told I was doing great which I was excited about. To bend over backwards for a company, and be dropped without any consideration was truly a heartbreak for me. There could’ve been some type of performance plan for a month or verbal warning that could’ve been done for tenured reps but it wasn’t. I would never In life put myself out there for another company again. Not only are you handing your work load, you’re helping out the new people, finding out that there are new product releases by hearing it from the clients, or doing testing in your demo accounts which doesn’t make us look like product experts.
