      Secure and Family type enterprise suit for sales profession

      Pros

      - Look after staff in terms of benefit and job security - Family type company and fit a 9-5 type employee - Great firm for sales professions who can move up the latter quickly

      Cons

      - Lack of investment in IT systems and out of date processes - Do not suit employee with ambitions - Highly political (more than most enterprise I have worked in) - Very slow / conservative in making business decisions - Base on this type of environment, it breeds many ineffective and under quality staff (Leeches), who have been their for many years (i.e., will not get hired else where at same level)

      Pros

      Large company with good service on equipment and good product. Not much difference in equipment now days just a commodity.....sale ends up price is only factor which equals no commission

      Cons

      They introduce new product to sell every month, phones, IT service, software, scanning services ect , anything they can add to equipment sells to make extra profit . Ricoh is restructuring every month be point you do not know who sells what. Very sub par pay. Very high turnover, my territory had 4 previous account managers in last 2 years

      Pros

      This was a great place for advancing my career from retail sales to the corporate world. They took a chance on me, and provided excellent training. I learned enough to start my own business where I sell b2b.

      Cons

      It's extremely difficult. Cold Calling is depressing. The sales process is convoluted. This is a document management company...yet they don't use any of their own products.
