Pros

It's very corporate. Lots of branding, lots of metrics, lots of conference calls. Ricoh makes excellent hardware, but hardware is minimally profitable so it's transitioning to a "services-led" organization. They do a good job serving large customers.

Cons

The company is slow and unresponsive, much of what they sell isn't their own, the metrics include lots of meaningless and incorrect information, and the conference calls are often much more meaningful to the people leading them than the people listening. They don't do a good job of serving small customers, and they don't treat vertical or geographic markets as unique.

Pros

Flexibility to work in office or remotely. Decent products and technology. Nice co-workers and lower level and very experienced management.

Cons

Terrible supply chain communication and sales operations. Poor senior leadership and zero accountability for delivery team, design resources, and service.

Pros

Production specialists are very reliable. Service reps are accessible and reliable. Overall the products are good and most of the "network services" are great (although implementation leaves a lot to be desired)

Cons

Management from the top down is questionable. There is little help or involvement when you or your customer has issues. You have to fix everything! You should be out selling but you are required to come into the office for bs meetings, conf calls, and spend time making sure problems are being resolved. Meanwhile management is at home or out playing golf. Billing and payroll are notorious for screw ups so you have to fight for you customer and your paycheck. Since 2013 Ricoh has really screwed the commission plan. A majority of sales people just don't care anymore. If you want to make over 6 figures I suggest you find a different industry or work for a reputable dealer with a good commission plan.
