Pros

free low budget food, big desk

Cons

I worked for almost 10 years in this company I left since it turned out that the company is in the hands of the yakuza. I managed to find another job shortly after the first people were arrested for fraud and money laundering. Beyond this I can say that in these years I have been dealing with the worst people I have ever known. I have been blackmailed several times threatening to ruin my reputation if I had even put my family on the line. Stay away from this company, wages are poor and you may have serious problems with justice.

Pros

1. Free lunch 2. Nice Office 3. International Colleagues

Cons

1. Ridiculously low pay without real promotion opportunity. 2. False promises. 3. Meetings for the meetings 4. Managers have never management skills nor tech skills. 5. No respect for real skillful people. A lot of high ranked managers are laughted at by entry level employees. 6. No respect for employees' career plan 7. Overall an old-fashioned mindset 8. High turnover rate

Pros

Some people mention a free meal like a pro.

Cons

Salary is deep below the market level, and every recruiter in Tokyo knows that. It will be surprising for you when you decide to look for a new job. Appraisal and bonuses do not relate to your performance, only to your manager loyalty and time, you spent in the company. Most tasks and goals of the information security department are not related to company business. Other departments and teams avoid dealing with information security at all cost, even management, including the CTO level. Turnover of people in the information security department is more than 50%, the average time of work is less than one year (except the managers, that guys will seat forever) Crowds are everywhere in the office, even double queue in the restrooms.
