Pros

My boss was a lovely human being. I would hire him if I had a company. Why he is there is a mystery for the ages.

Cons

Misrepresentation on EVERY level. "We're all supportive of you. You can grow with us. We want to help you succeed. " If you do not SELL people who have perfectly good performance Medicare Advantage plans different plans and help us make our numbers, you are dispensable and replaceable. Training incomplete, inept and not applicable in real world situations. Leads OFTEN off base. Many "leads" deceased people. Company won't provide releases to agents who see the light and have a conscience and don't want to screw over Medicare beneficiaries. Thereby eliminating agents' livelihood in the Insurance realm for up to a 6 month period. VERY UNSCRUPULOUS.

Pros

variety of work, complexity of work, complexity of products, benefits

Cons

some very senior people are disgustingly selfish and bias - win at all costs, tell execs what they want to hear (all about the show), technology sucks, very clique driven, right now there are no resources - over 2000 people are voluntarily leaving and there seems to be NO plan on how to cover the work - tech isn't there - pay was not there this year - indeed the people who are leaving are making more than the people whop stayed. as a manager of people who left - it's disheartening to see their paychecks bigger than my own. this voluntary separation program was incredible poorly managed in the top middle - people who are still here are suffering and now we have all of the new HR BS changes to deal with. WAKE UP - we have work to do and we need the resources to do it. We are BURNT OUT. Stop changing everything - give us a REST.

Pros

Nice facilities, good benefits, decent work/life balance, pay usually above market.

Cons

Constant reorganization, little opportunity for advancement for those below VP level. Month after month, year after year, I watched talented, hard working colleagues have their jobs eliminated, often being encouraged to reapply for lesser jobs in the name of “organizational optimization.” Managers (VP level and above) are usually insulated from this, and are able to use layoffs to cover for their own strategic failures.
