Squeezing until you break

Pros

If you like partying with access to infinite alcohol to numb you for the rest of the year this is your place

Cons

They will pressure you to work yourself out with very low recognition, and then will punish you when your mental health breaks. Most managers do not even have the ability to manage teams and the lack of internal communication sometimes borderlines inefficiency.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We are sorry to hear that you felt pressured and unsupported, as our goal is for everyone at Perk to thrive in a healthy environment. We recently revamped our performance model to ensure our teams feel fairly recognized for their impact. We also take mental health very seriously and are continuously investing in leadership enablement to ensure our managers support their teams effectively. We would value the opportunity to hear more about your experience so we can continue to improve. If you are open to it, please reach out to our People team.

Company is not inclusive of those on ERTE

Pros

Nice colleagues and clients. Nice office.

Cons

Ever since ERTE started, we have not been allowed to have extra meetings during the working hours which means that everyone is now scheduling them after working hours, resulting in us working extra without getting paid. This is causing tension within the teams where some team members are working extra when some aren't. TravelPerk also mentions how inclusive they are - recently, the weekly meeting was moved to the afternoon instead of the morning. There are dozens of people who are still on ERTE and whose working hours are different, they are again expected to work more. Teams are also still measured by KPIs when they're still on ERTE and earning and working far less than before. We're expected to do better than before ERTE started which is causing a lot of anxiety. Company has not announced which teams have been taken off ERTE and what the reasons have been. There is also no updates on the situation, we're meant to wait until the end of the year but have received no feedback on what is going to happen. It's been very frustrating to see how TravelPerk has evolved. It used to be a transparent company where it was encouraged to work hard but not so much that you will become stressed. It used to be a company where you could speak up but now middle management is making this harder. Each time you ask to voice your opinion, your managers defend the company and don't pass your feedback further.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Adjusting to ERTE has been a challenge and our People Team have taken your feedback on board. We are sorry to hear you feel TravelPerk has changed and we are concerned to learn of the stress and anxiety you are experiencing, we would encourage you to reach out to your HRBP for a confidential conversation around these topics as soon as possible and they can advise on what internal and external help we can provide. The ERTE scheme is very complex and constantly evolving but we are planning the most up to date communications in the coming weeks based on the recent government updates to help clarify some of your points but some we will not be able to answer until later in the year. Obviously we would of course prefer everyone to be able to attend all meetings live but unfortunately this is not always possible, to clarify any meetings outside of your working hours are not mandatory. We provide materials to watch/read during working hours to update you on any out of ERTE hours company wide meetings so please do not feel you need to attend. We would like the opportunity to explore these topics further with you and support you as best we can so please do reach out to your HRBP. Thanks again for your feedback.
