Pros

Originally easy, lax job, work from home.

Cons

Continously adding more responsibilities and call volume for no increase in pay management tells you they will address this and it goes nowhere. cutting aftercall work time in an insurance call center to 2 minutes or less is an unrealistic expectation. Typical job where new hires start at a higher salary than you do. Managers also lie about whose raises are the highest, as if employees don't talk and discuss this amongst themselves. Zero room for growth if you're a remote worker looking to get out of the customer service and auto/home services departments. Customers drag you through the ringer.

Pros

Auto ins discount, free coffee/tea, parking, PTO time

Cons

Compensatio is just awful and insulting. Company compensation philosophy is based on pay grid only, not on your job performance, performance reviews, etc. Promotions are same philosophy, all depends on pay grid and where you are on it, not based on your job performance...recent promotion to Manager yielded a 4% raise!! It's extremely demoralizing to employees which is why I left.

Pros

Decent benefits and a lot of great people, outside of management, to work with, daily.

Cons

The contact center supervisors and managers are so out of touch with their employees. Regularly, the supervisors are the most gossipy and hardest people to work with. What makes things worse is that not one of the supervisors can perform the daily tasks of their employees. How do you expect to lead in an area where you have no experience nor functionality other than to make sure that time cards are kept up to date?
