Pros

Contracts Business where exciting and rewarding work can be found. The company is aspirational and strives for the highest standards. You will be supported through training and development and your performance, attitude and hard work will see you develop your skills and career. Proven to be a stepping stone to greater opportunities internally or externally. Talented people tend to move on in to very good jobs after working at Ingeus.

Cons

Contracts business - contracts start and contracts end, meaning there is never the greatest job security. Though the work is often very rewarding (helping change lives), the nature of the contracts means you will need high resilience to be able to handle business changes and target pressures. Targets are set but socioeconomic fluctuations can impact these and make them easier or more difficult to meet.

Pros

Stable, depending on your office can be easy going however salary is best for those either winding down in their career or someone getting their first office job. Does what it needs to do but not for those who are ambitious (unless your ambition is in employability)

Cons

You have a ceiling if you’re not obsequious otherwise forget about progression. Progress is not determined by results that’s for sure.

Pros

I’m one of the lucky ones who escaped this toxic company with terrible staff treatment and questionable management across all levels

Cons

Where to begin? When working in Harrow there was an Advisor who act like she runs the place. She is extremely rude and demeaning to anyone not part of her inner circle. She damages relationships with key employers managed by the Employer Services Team through her unprofessional attitude. She acts like she is superior and knows everything, speaking down to others and shutting down any diverging opinions. She gets special treatment from management, allowed to come and go as she pleases with no repercussions. I've seen her come in, do no work, and then leave before lunch to meet with a colleague who is off on long-term sick leave. Meanwhile, the rest of us are not allowed to work from home, while she works remotely often or is on annual leave at least 1-2 days per week sometimes. She also seems to take unlimited sick days off without any meetings or warnings from HR about excessive absences. The unfair treatment and toxic clique environment she perpetuates makes it an extremely unpleasant place to work. Stay away from this office if you value your mental health. Upper management is seemingly oblivious to the problematic situation with this individual and her posse, along with their entitled, rude behaviour and if anything encourage it. The office had a Team Leader who had absolutely no idea what he was doing and would just allow the same group of toxic individuals to do as they please, would not manage them at all. He even allowed drinking to take place on the premises, and would pick and choose who would be marked as late and allow a particular group of people he felt protected and hid his inability to do his job to leave work early and take extended lunch breaks. He enjoyed causing drama in the office and would share confidential information about other people with others too. It was excellent he got demoted to being an Advisor and removed from the site but it was too little too late as enough damage had been caused by him and his posse.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear about your negative experience during your time at our Harrow office. What you’ve described does not reflect the values or standards we strive to uphold as an organisation. We take allegations of unprofessional behavior, favoritism, and toxic workplace culture very seriously. Every team member deserves to work in an environment where they feel respected, supported, and treated fairly. We are particularly concerned by the issues raised regarding management oversight, inconsistent application of policies, and the impact on team morale and mental well-being. Please reach out to us on careers@ingeus.co.uk so we can discuss your comments further. Kind Regards, Sarah
