      Pros

      A company with strong values, good work ethic and a commitment to using business as a force for good. Flexible working allows for a great work-life balance particularly for those based in the Corporate center.

      Cons

      Limited pay increases or bonuses in the last couple of years

      A company with a purpose

      Pros

      Ingeus is committed to improving people's lives - by equipping them with skills, improving their employability prospects, and helping them with health-related issues. For this reason, it tends to attract great colleagues who are fun to work with, and who are committed to making the world a better place. The work is varied and stimulating, and the environment is social. By far one of the best companies I've worked for in the UK.

      Cons

      The biggest downside is that many of Ingeus' staff are contractors - which makes for an uncertain hiring environment. This is possibly because of the nature of the work that Ingeus does - government outsourcing services - which requires the company to be able to scale up and scale down very quickly.

      Thanks for your review, it’s fantastic to hear that Ingeus is one of the best companies you have worked for in the UK! As you suggest, the nature of our work means we sometimes hire people on fixed term contracts or as interims because we often need to scale up or down depending on the projects or contracts we are working on. However, it’s really important that when colleagues aren’t permanent, that they still feel like part of the team. You’ve talked about our working environment being social and fun – and working relationships form a big part of this.       Ingeus is a company that cares about people, not just the people who's lives it changes through providing exceptional services but the staff it employs. They care about staff development with options available including management development programmes and scholarships Salaries are very competitive Other benefits include flexible working, birthday leave, the opportunity to purchase additional leave dates A living wage employer An inspirational MD who takes time to listen, visit staff at the front line and make changes A great culture with values that you can relate to

      Many roles are national which can include significant travel
