Absolutely terrible leadership from the top, that is going to drive this company to the ground - a rapid downward spiral that picked up pace about mid-2019.
The CFO is probably the most incompetent CFO in Silicon Valley or for a company of this size, and unfortunately her ambitions and agenda are having a out-sized impact on the company. The only lever she understands is slash-and-burn cost-cutting, though she clearly has no understanding of the business. As a result this company is being shredded to bits. No one deserves blame for this company's downfall as much as her, though you can also blame the CEOs that have enabled her.
Leadership turnover has been high. It has been a revolving door since early 2019, and we're now on our 3rd CEO in the matter of just months. The new CEO is unlikely to be successful as long as he relies on the advice of the CFO.
The culture, which used to be positive, has rapidly deteriorated as a result of all of the change the organization has been through in the last 2 years. There is a complete lack of trust among teams, no confidence in the leadership and strategy, and good people are fleeing in droves. Those that are left are barely hanging on. No high quality talent is interested in joining this company that is so clearly headed downward, so the decline is only picking up speed.
