Thank you so much for writing "nice colleagues, diverse and inclusive and opportunity to progress". Thank you also for saying "going in the right direction..." I notice that you no longer work with us at HKA. Thank you for all you have done to help HKA improve. Wishing you great success in your next chapter. In terms of your points for improvement, which I respect are your opinion, I share some thoughts in response: - "Support Staff hugely under-resourced and expected to work long hours" - we constantly look at our organizational design to make sure we serve clients well and support our people to enjoy their work and to protect their health. If any area has concerns about their workload, we will seek to understand and make improvements "Inconsistent treatment between fee earners & non-fee earners" - I do see this differently to you; albeit I accept this is a general statement rather than a specific challenge. In HKA we know it takes a team to deliver and all of our colleagues are vital to us. We also recognize that our fee earners do have the ultimate accountability to win work and deliver to external clients; so this is a huge responsibility - albeit I can not point to an example of how fee earners get better treatment than non-fee earners. Speaking as a non-fee earner - I only see HKA working collaboratively together to enjoy our work and to improve HKA too. We see this point differently. Thank you for your Advice to Management "Focus more on employee well-being" - I totally agree with you. Our number 1 priority is the health and well-being of our people, particularly during this pandemic. Feedback is very positive from our people on this important topic and we are always keen to listen and improve further too. Thank you for sharing your views. Thank you for sharing your view on HKA as you posted as former employee. Your post is important and deserves a reply. Thank you for your positive comments about HKA. Delighted that you felt HKA had “There are some good people at HKA. Opportunity to work on some big, complex and interesting disputes.” I can very much agree with you that HKA has brilliant people and we do have most interesting client work across the globe. Our employee retention rate is very strong and thankfully as HKA is innovative and a resilient Company, we are in fact in growth mode to recruit more brilliant people. I was very sad to read parts of your post and I am sorry you feel this way about HKA. I respect that this is your view; notwithstanding that I do see HKA differently and I am surprised to read the cons points in your post, as that is not my experience/fact base during the last eight months in HKA. I truly believe we have a great Company with brilliant people. We are on a progressive journey of improvement and we are not complacent as there are areas where we need and want to improve. We are backed by a Private Equity Company and that has been extremely positive for us and continues to challenge us to improve. In addition our Partners and all our colleagues collaborate to push HKA in an even better direction; so we go into 2021 in a strong way with healthy ambitions for the future.
