Pros

-Amazing, friendly teams who are always there for each other -Excellent starting salary and good opportunities for internal progression -Annual bonus scheme is encouraging -Very flexible with hours (I.e you can freely run an errand and make up the time elsewhere) and remote working -Stipend provided to pay for remote working needs, and laptop etc provided for you - individual team managers are great at encouraging you to take on further projects and develop yourself - Fairly good holiday allowance (28 days plus bank holidays), as well as sick pay, moving house/bereavement/maternity/paternity etc pay

Cons

No healthcare benefits It would be good to have smaller individual bonuses based on your individual targets, as well as the current bonuses that are based on company-wide targets. Higher management seems to make decisions or implements changes without taking into account the needs of lower level staff. These changes can dramatically affect their workload and leads to increased stress on staff, with less time for impactful work. HOWEVER, individual team managers are very helpful in trying to remedy this. The company is in a period of change/expansion but there needs to be better transparency and communication

Pros

Good company, nice values, friendly, talented, diverse staff and environment. Adapted well to pandemic with remote working opportunities and flexibility.

Cons

Quite target driven (all about numbers), long work hours (40 hrs per week quite long compared with 35 hrs per week jobs), becoming more corporate and less intimate teams as it expands rapidly. More monitoring and systemised than in the past. Repetitive admin tasks and sales focus for roles, that may not suit all.

Pros

Good first experience for those wanting a step into the publishing world - but that’s it

Cons

The owners are ultimately responsible for a mediocre company with zero values or culture. Can only blame the junior middle management to a degree.
