Good work-life balance, poor appreciation

Pros

Good work-life balance, good number of annual leave days, subsidised gym membership, work from home, free summer and christmas parties

Cons

Pay increases are poor, no appreciation for hard work from direct or upper management, company makes changes on a weekly basis with little to no guidance on how to implement these, and add additional work to job role continuously with no acknowledgement that we are doing more

Pros

A few recent reviews are painting an unfair picture of what it means to work in Product Management at Frontiers, in my opinion. I hope my review can give a different point of view. + Great mission + It is a very dynamic environment, lots of new projects get started and PMs are expected to lead them + Great colleagues in the Editorial area, very smart and ready to pitch ideas and provide feedback + Collaborative environment, big teams with a lot of diverse skills get together to deliver the results + Engineering leads are great professionals, equally eager to face challenges together + Strong engagement from the company executives + Good salary

Cons

- Dynamism comes at a price: the idea you are currently focusing on might be deprioritised based on business need. When it happens too often, it might get frustrating - Not everyone is ready to face executives, especially new hires who might be used to a different hierarchy - Lots of work, sometimes it's hard to really understand what is the priority - While we're data-driven, it is really hard sometimes to get the data we need - As the company grows, some politics start to show up - A lot of uncertainty. The company grew a lot and it's probably normal, but it also contributes to the frustration that some colleagues might be voicing in other reviews
