Thank you for your review and for your contributions during your ten years with us. Elsevier has over 8,000 employees serving customers in 180 countries. Our people and business are where our customers are. Just like you, most of our employees stay working for us for many years because of job stability. With the business world changing constantly and so rapidly, virtually every established business feels the imperative to continuously improve and innovate. Executives, managers and employees across our business work hard to figure out how to best and strategically address the genuine needs of our customers and partners globally. With a presence in 180 countries, we are in a position to sometimes manage our business priorities and support our customers by maximising our efforts while we focus on our employees and their needs through any change that this may cause. Again, thanks for taking the time to leave your comment.

Pros

Science and legal related. They are product driven and focused on information and news. Not many Pros. They are somewhat boring.

Cons

Bad Compensation. They should be more entrepreneurial. Bitcoin was at 20,000 or even 10,000 dollars recently. 1 million times 10,000 equals 10 billion. They missed out on 5 to 10 billion. They didn't see the business opportunity in Crypto Currency. They didn't really negotiate or follow leads. They are somewhat cheap and pinny pinching. The room for advancement is Nill.

Thank you for your review. We are disappointed to hear that you didn’t get excited about our mission to advance Science and Healthcare. Yes, we are focused on our products but only if they are solving for our customers’ needs. Here at Elsevier, what we champion is falling in love with the customer problem not the solutions we build, that way we can stay agile and responsive. For example, through taking this approach we have built the COVID- 19 response centre and delivered an AI hackathon that through advanced data science has identified a number of drugs therapies that can be repurposed to treat chronic disease. For more information - https://www.linkedin.com/posts/relx-group_ai-in-healthcare-drug-repurposing-by-jabe-activity-6727216629014376448-ULZl. Compensation is always a hot topic in any industry. Here at Elsevier, we benchmark our salaries externally, we use both a general benchmark and Technology specific benchmark to ensure we stay competitive.
