Great Team, Fun Workplace as a Software Developer

Pros

For developers: The technology is very interesting to work on, it never gets boring! The company is fully agile, with flat hierarchies and developers are first class citizens. The influence on the product is immediate as there is a continuous release cycle of 2 weeks. Innovation and teamwork are core values, which also shows in daily dev life. Despite being a multinational company with around 600 developers in 4 countries, the startup groove is not lost and it is fun to come to work every day!

Cons

Can't think of anything relevant. There are some admin processes to be followed obviously in a larger company, but those are pretty clear and work well.

Pros

People, benefits and salary. And the ultimate reason to be here: best product way ahead of competition

Cons

It´s a bit of a changing environment since we are experiencing rapid growth. But you can turn it into something good if you seize the opportunity. Some old school managers in some countries, but still great atmosphere anywhere you go.

Pros

- Salaries are quite good compared to local companies, but are stagnant and not keeping up with inflation. - Additional wellness days (4 per year) - Great colleagues (though in decline due to workload stress) - Can learn about many technologies if you're prepared to invest your own time and don't need or expect any guidance

Cons

- Management and leadership are pretty much useless (though friendly). Hardly any European leaders and US have no clue how things work on our side of the pond - Dreadful tooling makes doing job much harder than it needs to be and product is very complex - Don't expect to learn much beyond technology. No learning for specific job after onboarding unless you sign up for the informal mentoring program and then get a good mentor - Salaries on the decline as inflation rapidly erasing value. Not competitive against other international companies. - Company is penny pinching to the detriment of employees in every possible area (including cheaping out on yogurts recently), whilst US leaders' salaries increase by double digit % every year. - Employees under pressure to "understand" the need to economise, whilst being pushed to contribute to strong growth (25% YoY) and rewards for doing so constantly slashed - Watch out for the employee surveys. They trick you into giving your response and then days later they drop a new bombshell with the latest harmful-to-employees news (latest was 25% reduction in variable salary)
