Pros

- Interesting work - Good travel and consulting opportunities with varied clients - Bright and diverse colleagues - Global footprint and strong reputation

Cons

- For consultants/analysts working up the ranks, after 3-4 years it becomes far more appealing to jump ship for a greater pay and responsibility whereas progress at this level can be quite slow and value not always recognised - the security side of the business brings a culture that not all would like - the company lacks dynamism in some areas and has failed to really exploit its political risk arm in terms of the external affairs advisory potential this holds

Pros

The company attracts a pool of good talent across a wide network of offices globally . There are no micromanagers and many engagements can be complex and interesting.

Cons

Quite a few mediocre people on the top. Many top executives have little interest in serving and meeting clients. Ninety plus percent of top executives are men, white, British.

Pros

Diversity of work, always paid on time with overseas travel Good job (but don't expect a career!) - use as a stepping stone onto something else after 2-3 years

Cons

Underpaid and over-priced when compared to market. Don't value staff, everyone is a number; unless you are a white British male and ex-UK military; preferably ex-Green Jackets or Paras to get promoted to management Don't value employees professional memberships or certifications. Management not always based on capabilities, more of which regiment you went to. Partnership model (vs. employee owned) has created silos and reduced collaborative approach
