      Good company, good leader could do better on compensation

      Pros

      The CEO is a good leader, takes the time to talk to the staff and to very approachable. The business has a strong work ethic and the staff are,for the most part, very bright and and friendly.

      Cons

      Whilst probably not true across the all areas, pay is not market competitive and bonuses, which are based on company as well as personal performance are often not given.

      Varied and complex work and great team spirit. Stimulating and effective career booster for junior staff; great place to retire as a senior manager

      Cons

      Not innovation-driven; only a few senior managers have effective business skills. Compensation, bonus and perks can be really cheap.

      Pros

      A lot of interesting people work for Control Risks, especially for those who are interested in International Relations. At the intersection of business and politics, the work is often interesting.

      Cons

      Interns do research, which can be both tedious and redundant. There is no real involvement in the projects, let alone contacts with the clients. Depending on the office, the work can be more or less political.
