* Steep learning curve if coming out of college or have no insurance experience * Not great overall training * Not a lot of growth opportunities if you're in underwriting * Unless you have ample experience, will have to wait for the possibility to go fully remote (if even provided the opportunity) * Spend a lot of time fixing problems that are at the fault of other underwriters, departments, and agents * Operations team doesn't know how to do anything * Proprietary systems suck and often work against you * Some people will inherently have more work than others - you may have a lot of work, but someone with the same experience may have minimal. Dependent on agencies. * Small enough teams/departments where corporate drama and politics will take over at times

Very little training for new hires at Chubb. Too many new underwriters are thrown into the fire without adequate training. If this practice continues, there will be more and more people leaving for greener pastures.
