I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Target in Aug 2012
Interview
I registered with Target on-line and submitted my resume. About 3 days later an HR person out of Minneapolis called me to set-up a phone interview. This occurred a few days later. The phone interview consisted of a variety of character and situational questions. Apparently I passed this interview and was set-up for an in store interview about 2 weeks later. At the Target I applied for I met for a very informal interview with the Store Manager and the Store HR lead. Then immediately had another phone interview with the District Manager. Assuming it all went well, I received an e-mail about 2 weeks later stating that I was not hired and that they would not tell me why.

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Target (Pasadena, CA) in Jan 2013
Interview
Applied online about 2 weeks later I got a call and was asked when would be a good time to have a phone interview after the phone interview I was asked to come in and have a in person interview. I accepted and had my interview within a few days. I had two interviews that day one with someone in the same position as the one I was applying for and the other was with another someone again in the same position executive team leader and the store manager. The interviews went the same, same questions same procedures, but I found the first person much more professional that the second two. The second seemed more interested in flirting with each other than actually listening to what I had to say. They would just keep smiling at looking at each other as if they had an inside joke I didn’t know about. It was very unprofessional. The phone interview and the first in person interviews where very professional. As this site has said before they were all behavioral questions.

The hardest part I thought was the assessment test. Which I felt was mostly statistic questions.
