I applied through college or university. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Target in May 2013
Interview
Very rigid interview process; consists of four interviews- initial two w/ Store Team Leaders; third with District Leader, and finally phone interview with Regional (Group) Leaders. Interviewers use a packet in which they ask and record all responses. Very little concern about how much you know about the company (although it's definitely good to know as much as possible). Questions are indeed, very leadership-oriented. I had 15 different leadership examples from a variety of supervisory and leadership experiences; and still had a difficult time aligning a response to some of the questions. Definitely do not try to answer any prospective questions before the interview, just know your stories really well, and be ready to adapt and mould them to an unforeseen question.

Interview
Depending on your work history or resume, you may experience more or less interviews. ETL interviews are usually conducted in round robin style. High potential store team leaders, members of district and group leadership will all conduct interviews. Internal applicants will require an additional interview with group HR leader.
