RemoFirst interview questions

An initial interview with a C-level responsible for product, then a take-home assignment. The interview with the C-level was a case of what not to do: absolutely no rapport building, using a crappy mic in a crowded coworking space, robotic questions... I passed that. Then I received the take-home assignment. The assignment was bonkers. It would take at least 40 hours to answer well. Here are the questions: 1. Identify a product feature/service that Remofirst should develop and launch 2. Define the objectives and goals of the product initiative, including how it aligns with the company’s overall strategic objectives. 3. Conduct market research to identify customer needs, preferences, and pain points related to the chosen feature or enhancement. This includes sizing the opportunity in terms of: a. Total Addressable Market (TAM), b. Serviceable Available Market (SAM), and c. Serviceable Obtainable Market (SOM). 4. Develop the business model for this feature to be incorporated into Remofirst’s product/service catalog 5. Develop the pricing/revenue model for this new product/service, including demonstrating margins 6. Develop a roadmap outlining the key milestones, deliverables, and timeline for implementing the product initiative. 7. Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the product initiative and propose mitigation strategies. 8. Consider the technical requirements, resource allocation, and budgetary considerations necessary for successful implementation. 9. Present your product strategy in a structured document format, including clear headings, visuals (if applicable), and supporting rationale for your decisions. After answering this case, which is very geared towards single people with no children (and no life), I was ghosted for two weeks until they replied, with no feedback.

30 minutes interview lead by another product manager (peer level). Some questions were standard-generic, but some got weirdly personal. No question were too domain specific (e.g. no deep dive into B2B market & insights if the role was about that market)
