I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RemoFirst in Jul 2024
Interview
Although I did not apply in the traditional sense via a job listing, the interview process was smooth and everyone was very welcoming.
Here was my interview experience:
I had a combined conversation with the marketing lead and CRO to kick things off. I had pitched high level ideas and opportunities for them, which initially started the process of me potentially joining the team.
From there, I was asked to expand on some of my ideas around what I would do in this role, some opportunities I spotted, and my plan to contribute to their growth/impact to revenue. It wasn't a huge lift of time to put together in a strategy document and a fair ask for the nature of this role.
From there, I had a follow up conversation with them (marketing lead and CRO) to go over my proposal, answer any questions they had about it, and continue the conversation.
My last step before a potential offer, was to connect with the Co-Founder and CEO for a 30 minute chat. He asked some great questions and encouraged me to also ask any questions I had for him about the business, culture, etc.
About two days later, I received an offer to join the company which I accepted.
Although I did not apply in the traditional sense as mentioned above, the process was very smooth and took about 2 weeks in total to complete. Everyone was very professional, asked some great questions, and allowed me to ask anything to which I felt everyone was very transparent in their responses.
Overall great experience, which was a signal to me that this was somewhere I definitely wanted to work.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RemoFirst in Jun 2024
Interview
At first I had a phone screen with a recruiter, then a manager interview, then a C-suite interview, and finally a short take home exercise and final interview, then a decision was made
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Please describe the impact you hope to make on the wider team if offered this role.
Initial contact with HR: a pleasant conversation to learn about the project and my work experience. The second interview with the COO was more formal, serious, and direct. After the interviews, they told me they would give me feedback that week, but it actually took a month to inform me that the process had been 'put on hold.' A bittersweet experience.
