I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Prudential (Newark, NJ) in Mar 2011
Interview
Just like everyone described, generic interview process where you meet with the recruiter, then a specific sales manager, then the managing director. Project 200 is a necessity as is passing both the aptitude tests.
All the licensing is reimbursed once you pass... but during training there is no compensation.
One thing that they don't mention is that the company does provide you with substantial amount of leads-- current prudential clients without agents. This helps a lot with most FPA's practices.

Question 1
Why do you think you are suitable for this position
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Prudential (Sherman Oaks, CA) in Sep 2012
Interview
Spent a lot of time talking about WFG. Seems that they have a lot of similarities:
-manager must go out on field training with associate
-the company will demand a prospect list of friends/family
-seeking aggressive sales people
Another similarity is lack of full disclosure.
For example, the manager said that the survey I would be required to complete has no right or wrong answers, but it is scored. WFG also lacks full disclosure on things you will be asked to spend money on, like conventions, shirts and Elite classes (which charge fines in addition to class enrollment fees). Many of these 'extra' costs vary from office to office.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Prudential (Tampa, FL)
Interview
I received an email that had a name and phone number on it and when I called, someone answered. I spoke with the recruiter about what the position was and liked what I heard. I then told her my challenges in changing careers and she presented a way around those challenges. She then sent me a short online application and gave me the name of the manager of the office I would work in. That conversation went well. I was required to take an assessment, which I passed, then was scheduled for a career presentation meeting with about 6 other people. Immediately after the meeting, I scheduled the first one-on-one interview. Shortly after, I was scheduled another interview with the training manager. Then there was a third interview with the managing director, and another assessment to see how well I would do with logic and finances. A week later I was offered a position and was hired a couple weeks later. The entire process took about a month and a half.
